Friday 3-5 p.m. GMT live on Twitter, hashtag #AuthorDay
Our central issues-driven discussion at the core of the conference will be ringed with one-on-one meetings with:
- Editors from Pan Macmillan (Caroline Hogg and Sophie Jonathan) holding open-submissions and consultations;
- Editorial staff from HarperCollins holding open submissions and consultations;
- Agents from Peters Fraser + Dunlop (PFD), who will meet with authors for questions and guidance; and
- Thanks to special support from the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi), experts on independent publishing for one-on-one counseling—more to come on that shortly.
While those personal meetings at Author Day are reserved for those who are registered and attending the conference, Friday’s online Twitter conversations with the PFD agents are open to all.
Lead agent Robert Caskie will also join us on a special panel at the FutureBook Conference on 4th December at London’s Mermaid, on the new centricity of the author.
He and I will welcome to that panel Simon & Schuster/Atria publisher Judith Curr, Headline author Simon Scarrow, and September Publishing’s Hannah MacDonald.
And in today and Friday’s sessions, all are invited to join in with questions and comments for Caskie and his associates.
Partcipating agents include Caskie (@RCaskie1), Marilia Savvides (@MariliaSavvides), Adam Gauntlett (@albionieye), Nelle Andrew, and Laura Williams (@LauraBirdland).
